ABSTRACT
Provincial MCH report 2011 indicates the number of maternal deaths as many as 5.118 inhabitants. The causes of maternal mortality are still dominated (32%), pre eclampsia (25%), infection (5%), Other Causes (32%) are quite large, including non-obstetric causes of disease (MOH, 2012). Pre eclampsia is a leading cause of maternal and infant mortality in developing countries. Pre-eclampsia is a disease with signs of hypertension, edema and proteinuria arising from pregnancy, the cause is unknown. In severe conditions pre-eclampsia may become eclampsia with the addition of symptoms of convulsions (Manuaba, 2002). Severe preeclampsia and eclampsia are a risk that compromises the mother in addition to endangering the fetus via placenta. risk factors for pre-eclampsia-eclampsia include primigravida, gemeli, pre eclampsia history, age> 40 years, obesity, gestational distance> 10 years, previous health condition (DM, kidney, hypertension) (Bothamley, 2012).
The purpose of this study is to analyze the risk factors causing pre eclampsia-eclampsia. Based on the results of data collection conducted through the document search obtained by the number of samples as much as 192 with the method of cas control. The result of data analysis using logistic regression obtained by value of EXP (B) on IMT variable equal to 0,020 and value EXP (B) mother age variable 31,522. The result of this analysis can be concluded that mother with BMI <18,7 and or> 35 has 1 chance to experience pre eclampsi. The results of the analysis on the age variable can be concluded that the mother with age <20 years adan or> 35 years 32 times chance of having pre eklampsi-eklampsi.
